1. Press the Lock button in and set the POWER
switch to CAMERA.
2. Press the MENI iI)ISPLAY button repeatedly to
display the menu screen.
3. Press • or • to select r91 and press SI,2T.
4. Press • or • to select I)GT/= ZOOM and press

5. Press • or • to select ()bT,',40 ,or 40(2 and
press 5'E7;
• Select ()bT,' to turn digital zoom off.
• Select 40to have 10 40 times digital zoom.
• Select 4(X)to have 10 400 times digital zoom.
6. Press the MENI iI)ISPLAY button repeatedly
until the menu screen turns off.
7. Press the Zoom W or T button to zoom. The
zoom indicator appears in the display.
Macro Zooming
Macro zooming allows you to take close-up shots of small obj.'ors. To r_'cord a magnifi_'d
imag_" that is within approximat_'Iy f'iv_" f'_'_t of the camcorder, us_" Macro Zoom.

1. Press Zoom button W to zoom all the way out.
2. Move the camcorder close to the subject until
you obtain the desired angle of view.
The camcorder will automatically focus on the
sub}ect.

Make sure there is sufficient light for
macro recordings,
For best results, use a tripod during
macro recording.
