You can use the camcorder
it]st like a digital
camera
and take a still picture
and
record
it to the card.

Make sure a MultiMediaCard
is inserted
(see page 13).
Set the FOCUS
switch
to AUTO
and DSC
MODE
switch
to CARD.
Press
in the Lock button
and set the POWER
switch
to CAMERA.
Open the LCI) monitor or adiust the
viewfinder.
Use the Zoom
buttons
to frame
the subject
(from
1 to 7 times
zoom).
Press the S ['ILLbutton
to record a still image
of the sub}ect. The f-'l indicator
flashes red
while data is being recorded
on the card and
returns to white when recording
is finished.
When
finished
recording,
set the POWER
switch
to OFE
Caution:
Do not turn the power off or remove the card while the D indicator
is flashing
in step 6. This may delete or damage images on the card or damage
the card.
Notes:
To remove
the icons from the camcorder's
display during
recording,
press the
MENUIDISPLA Y button
In CARD-CAMERA mode, the angle of fieM is slightly
wider than in TAPE-
CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode.
Recording
under insufficient
light may result in blurred
images. Try using a
tripod.
RECORDING TO MEMORY
CARD or RECORDING TO TAPE is displayed
during
the recording
of still images. If you do not want this displayed,
set the MEDIA
DISP. menu item in the OTHERS menu to OFF in one of the CAMERA modes.
