_t Disconnectthe fax machine from any TAD ortelephone company voicemail.
Set the fax machine to MANUAL mode.
Have someone ready to call the distinctive ringing number you're assigning
the fax machine.
8 Press_, 1_], [_.
Press[] or [_ to selectthe SETMode.
6 Press ( _.
:6 Press[ff_. The screen displays
[D/R SET MODE ........... ].
Now,another person must call the fax number.
7 When the fax machine rings, listenfor the ring pattern, and make sure it's
the one you want for the fax machine.
If it is, waitfor at least 2 complete rings. The screen displays
[P!CK UP TO SET J.
Liftthe fax machine handset and press [_-_. The screen displays
REGISTERED. ( If the incorrectdistinctiveringing number was called,press
[_ to cancel.)
0 Hang up.
Onceyou've registeredthe distinctiveringing number in your fax machine, you
can turn this feature ONor OFE Tochange the setting,followsteps 1to 4 above,
selecting ONor OFE
Caller ID
Caller IDis a telephone company subscriberservicethat allowsyou to see the
name or telephonenumber of yourcaller as theline rings.
Asyour phone rings, thescreen displaysthe telephone number of yourcaller (or
name, ifavailable). Onceyoupick up the handset, tile CallerIn information
disappears.
