(4) Developing
- By the adhesion of toner to the latent electrostatic image on the drum surface, the image is changed to an image of its toner. The development
is processed at the contact portion between the OPC drum and the developing roller.
(1)
The sponge roller causes toner to adhere to the developing roller. The toner becomes negatively charged.
(2)
The developing blade removes excess toner from the developing roller and a thin layer
of toner remains and forms on the developing roller.
(3)
The toner is drawn by the latent electrostatic image at the contact portion between the
OPC drum and the developing roller. The latent electrostatic image on the drum surface is made visible with the toner.
