CONTROLLING
YOUR TV OR CABLE CONVERTER
WITH THE VCR'S REMOTE
Your VCR remote control may operate your "IV or cable converter.

Make sure ...
• Turn on the TV (any channel is OK).
1) Press the VOLUME • button on the remote control.
2) Press the 'IV button (not the VcR[rv
button) on the
remote control.
3) Press the number corresponding to the brand of your
TV as shown in the chart below. Then, press the EN-
TER button.
For example; If you have an RCA 'IV, press 0, then
the 8 button. Then, press the ENTER button.

4) Aim the remote control at your TV, then press the
CHANNEL • button. If the channel changes on the
TV, you are finished.
NOTE:
• If the TV channel still doesn't change after going
through all the TV brand codes listed above, it is
likely that you will not be able to program this remote
control for your TV.
There is no guarantee that the VCR remote
control will handle your TV perfectly.
l Once you have programmed the remote con-
trol, you will have to do it again whenever you
change the batteries.

Select the TV function mode
Press the TV button. Then press a button for the "IV
function that you want.
(Example: press the TV button then the CHANNEL •
button, the next higher station will appear.)
Note: Also, you may change the channels at the "IV by
using the number buttons. If you can not change the
channels at the TV by using the number buttons, press
the ENTER button after you press the number but_ns.
It may change channels at the TV.

Return to the VCR function mode
Press the VCR button to operate your VCR with the re-
mote control again.
