Updating the firmware The firmware for the server is periodically updated and is available for download on the Web. Go to http://www.lenovo.com/support to check for the latest level of firmware, such as BIOS code, vital product data (VPD) code, device drivers, and service processor firmware.
ThinkServer EasyUpdate This program identifies updates on the Lenovo Support Web site that are applicable to your server. After the program has been installed, you can schedule the frequency at which the program checks for updates. When updates are detected, you can either have the updates downloaded and installed automatically or receive a notification that updates are available.
EasyStartup overview The EasyStartup program requires a supported Lenovo server with an enabled, startable (bootable) DVD drive. In addition to the EasyStartup DVD, you also must have the operating-system installation CD or DVD and the product key for the operating system (if provided).
