Using the EasyStartup DVD

The EasyStartup DVD contains a setup and installation program designed for your
server. The program works in conjunction with your operating-system installation
disc to simplify and automate the process of installing the operating system and
device drivers.
If you did not receive a EasyStartup DVD with your server, you can download an
image from the Lenovo Support Web site at http://www.lenovo.com/support.
The EasyStartup program has the following features:
v Self-booting DVD
v Easy-to-use, language-selectable interface
v Integrated help system
v Automatic hardware detection
v Device drivers provided based on the server model and detected devices
v Selectable partition size and file system

The following table lists the different server configurations and the applications
that are available for configuring and managing RAID arrays.

ThinkServer EasyManage Core Server and ThinkServer EasyManage Remote
Client work together to provide centralized hardware and software inventory
management and secure, automated system management through a single
console.
This program identifies updates on the Lenovo Support Web site that are
applicable to your server. After the program has been installed, you can schedule
the frequency at which the program checks for updates. When updates are
detected, you can either have the updates downloaded and installed
automatically or receive a notification that updates are available. You also can
initiate the program manually, scan through available updates, and selectively
install only those updates that are of interest to you.
