Intel SpeedStep Technology Applet
This applet helps your system take advantage of a SpeedStep-enhanced
CPU's capabilities, such as that as found in your notebook if you have the
mobile CPU option.
Once activated, the system can dynamically monitor and adjust the CPU's
speed, without the need to shutdown, reboot, or go into Suspend mode.
Instructions on installing SpeedStep (if you have a mobile CPU) are in
to Install" on page 4 -

The SpeedStep Control Panel is available by going to Start (menu), point to
Settings and click Control Panel. Double-Click Power Management/Power
Options.
