The cartridge is nearly empty (approximately one eighth
of the ink remains).
The machine has been locked using the Key Lock
function. See page 29.
Transmission or reception was not successful. Press
STOP
to clear the message and then try again. If the error
persists, see Line error on page 63.
The cartridge is low on ink (approximately one quarter
of the ink remains).
If faxes have been received to memory because printing
is not possible, resolve the problem so that printing can
continue (see Reception to Memory on page 25).
If faxes are being held in memory because the Print
Hold function has been activated, print the faxes as
explained on page 37.
If you are attempting to broadcast or transmit from
memory, see If the memory becomes full on page 43.
If you are copying, see If the memory becomes full on
page 42.
The cartridge is out of ink and must be replaced. Faxes
will be received to memory.
The printing paper is jammed. See page 70.
A printer error has occurred. Open the cover, make sure
the print cartridge is installed correctly and that there
are no jammed or torn pieces of paper (see page 70 to
remove jammed paper), and then close the cover.
This appears if you attempt to send a fax by auto dialling
and the line is busy or the receiving fax machine does
not answer. Your machine will automatically reattempt
the call. (See Automatic redialling on page 21.)
A received fax is being held in memory because the
Print Hold function has been activated. Enter the Print
Hold code to print the fax (see page 37).
