Granting access to cubes using SQL Server
Management Studio
To create a role
1
In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click IT Analytics.

In the left pane, expand the Settings folder.

Click Cubes.

In the right pane, click the Security tab.

Under Roles, click New.

Enter a name for the role.

Add members to the role.

Grant read access to the required cubes.

Click Apply.
You can delete any roles that you created.
To delete a role
1
In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click IT Analytics.

In the left pane, expand the Settings folder.

Click Cubes.

In the right pane, click the Security tab.

Under Roles, select the role that you want to delete from the drop-down list.

Wait for the screen to refresh, and then click Delete.
The screen refreshes again, and a message displays at the top of the page,
which states that the role was successfully deleted.

Click Apply.
You can also use SQL Server Management Studio to grant access to cubes.
To grant access to a cube using SQL Server Management Studio
1
Open SQL Management Studio.
2
Connect to Analysis Services using an account that has administrative rights.
