Step 3: Switch SFM Mastership
You can switch SFM mastership on M40e routers only. By default, the SFM in slot 0
Purpose
( SFM0 ) is the master and the SFM in slot 1 ( SFM1 ) is the backup.
To change the default master SFM, include the sfm statement at the [edit chassis
redundancy] hierarchy level in the configuration. For more information, see the

To switch SFM mastership, use the following CLI command:

To replace an SFM, follow these steps:
