USB INTERFACE
Your PROEL M1000 mixer comes with a Full Speed USB port which you
can connect to a computer. This USB connection allows you to exchange
CD-quality (stereo, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz) audio between the
computer and your mixer.
This feature allows you to use the M1000 as a highly
fl exible external soundcard. Use the computer's built
in audio recorder or use dedicated Digital Audio
Workstation software (DAW) to record and play back
CD-quality audio within your computer.
PROEL suggested USB cables are USB2ABLU18 type
for 1.8 mt (5,91 ft.) length or USB2ABLU3 type for 3.0
mt (9,89 ft.) length. If you need to connect the M1000
across a longer distance than 3 mt we recommend that
you do not use hubs and other extenders, that often
cause glitches and other problems.
Sending and Receiving
Audio Data
The USB port sends the MAIN
MIX left and right signals to the
computer.
The USB port receives a stereo
audio stream from the computer
and assigns it to the 2TRK INPUT
left and right channels of your
mixer.
NOTE: if a device is connected
to the 2TRK INPUTs, the signal
from this device is merged with
the signal from the computer.
Precautions when using
the USB connection
To ensure that the M1000 is
recognized correctly by your
computer, always turn the mixer
on a few seconds before inserting
the USB cable into the computer.
When powering up both your
computer and the M1000, turn on
the mixer fi rst and the computer
second. When powering down
your computer and the M1000,
turn off the computer fi rst. Wait
to turn off the mixer until the
computer has completed the shut
down process.
Connection instructions
for Windows
(Vista, XP, 2000, ME, and
98 SE)
Upon first sensing the M1000
input, Windows Vista, Windows XP
and Windows 2000 automatically
recognize the M1000 and proceed to install "USB audio codec" drivers.
Windows ME and Windows 98 Second Edition may require you to insert

Il mixer PROEL M1000 è dotato di una porta USB ad alta velocità alla
quale è possibile connettere un computer. La connessione USB permette
di scambiare audio di qualità CD (stereo, 16-bit, 44.1
kHz) fra il computer e il mixer.
Questa caratteristica permette di usare l'M1000 come una
fl essibile soundcard esterna. Per registrare e riascoltare
dal computer con qualità CD è possibile usare sia il
registratore del sistema operativo o meglio ancora usare
un software DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) dedicato.
PROEL suggerisce l'uso dei cavi USB tipo USB2ABLU18
per una lunghezza di 1.8 mt o tipo USB2ABLU3 per una
lunghezza di 3.0 mt. Se si vuole collegare l'M1000 su
lunghezze maggiori di 3 mt è sconsigliato l'uso di hub
e altri espansori, che spesso causano rumori e altri
problemi.

Dati Audio
La porta USB invia i segnali
sinistro (left) e destro (right) del
MAIN MIX al computer.
La porta USB riceve un segnale
audio stereo dal computer e lo
assegna agli ingressi sinistro
(left) e destro (right) del canale
2TRK IN del mixer.
NOTA: se un'altro dispositivo
è connesso alle prese RCA
2TRK IN, il segnale di questo
dispositivo viene unito al
segnale proveniente dal
computer.
Precauzioni quando si usa
la connessione USB
Per assicurare che l'M1000 sia
riconosciuto correttamente dal
computer, accendete sempre il
mixer qualche secondo prima di
inserire il cavo USB nel computer.
Quando si accendono entrambi
gli apparecchi assieme, accendete
prima il mixer e dopo il computer.
Allo spegnimento, spegnete
prima il computer e attendete che
il computer abbia completato lo
spegnimento (shut down), quindi
spegnete il mixer.
