82. MAIN MIX INSERT Input-output
This is where you connect serial eff ects before the MAIN MIX FADER
control. These serial effects usually are compressors or equalizers.
The send is low-impedance (150
ohms), capable of driving any line-
level device. The return is high-
impedance (10k ohms) and can be
driven by almost any device. Specialty
"Y" cables, designed just for this
application, are widely available
on shops. Proel suggested types
are SGP210LU15 (1.5 mt - 4.9 ft),
SGP210LU3 (3 mt - 9.8ft), SGP210LU5
(5 mt - 16.4 ft). See also connection
chapter further on this manual.
83. MAIN MIX FADER control
The MAIN MIX FADER controls the level
of the MAIN MIX outputs (85)(90) and
the 2TRK outputs. When the fader
is fully down the MAIN MIX is off,
the "0" marking indicates a +4 dBu
(1.228 Vrms) nominal output level.
Typically this fader is set near the
"0" label, but it can be used for song
fade-outs.
84. STAND-BY switch
Engage the STAND-BY switch and
instantly the entire MAIN MIX is
switched off . You can use this switch
as a MASTER MUTE while you are
waiting for the gig to start. Since the
2TRK IN input it's still assigned to the
MAIN MIX when the STAND-BY button
is pressed, you can also play some
music during the intermission. When
it's time to start the gig, just release
the button and all musicians will be
ready to play.
85. MAIN MIX L & R jack
output (balanced)
These JACK connectors (+4 dB)
provide a balanced line-level signal
from the MAIN MIX stereo bus. You
can connect these to the inputs of
power amplifier, powered speakers
or an audio recorder.
86. L & R LEVEL METERS
The level meters are made up of two
columns of twelve LEDs with three colors to indicate diff erent ranges of
signal level:
• green = shows the normal operative level (from -30 to +4 dBu)
• yellow = shows a high operative level (from +7 to +10 dBu)
• red = shows a too high signal level (near +20 dBu CLIP level).
If no SOLO switch is engaged, the meters display what is selected by (60)
(61) and (62) switches, choosing between MAIN MIX (post fader), GROUP
ENG

86. L & R LEVEL METERS (indicatori di livello)
Gli indicatori di livello sono costituiti di due colonne di dodici LED di tre
colori che indicano diversi livelli operativi del segnale:
• verde = normale livello operativo (da -30 a +4 dBu)
• giallo = livello operativo elevato (da +7 a +10 dBu)
• rosso = livello operativo troppo elevato (prossimo al CLIP +20 dBu).
Se nessun tasto SOLO è premuto, i meters visualizzano cosa è selezionato
dai tasti (60) (61) e (62), scegliendo tra MAIN MIX (post fader), GROUP

MAIN MIX FADER. Questi eff etti usualmente
sono compressori o equalizzatori. La
mandata è a bassa impedenza (150 ohms)
e può pilotare qualsiasi dispositivo a livello
linea. Il ritorno è ad alta impedenza (10k
ohms) e essere collegato ad ogni tipo di
dispositivo con livello linea. Speciali cavi "Y",
realizzati appositamente per questo tipo di
applicazione, sono disponibili nei negozi.
Proel suggerisce i modelli SGP210LU15
(1.5 mt), SGP210LU3 (3 mt), SGP210LU5
(5 mt). Consultare anche il capitolo delle

83. MAIN MIX FADER (livello uscita
MAIN MIX)
Il MAIN MIX FADER controlla il livello delle
uscite MAIN MIX (85)(90) e delle uscite 2TRK
OUT. Quando il fader è al minimo il MAIN
MIX è chiuso, il punto "0" indica un livello
nominale di uscita su cavo bilanciato di +4
dBu (1.228 Vrms). Solitamente questo fader
viene impostato prossimo allo "0", ma può
essere usato anche per sfumare le canzoni.
84. STAND-BY (tasto silenziatore
uscita MAIN MIX)
Attivando il tasto STAND-BY istantaneamente
l'intero main mix viene spento. Potete
utilizzare questa funzione come MUTE
generale in attesa che inizi lo spettacolo.
Dal momento che l'ingresso 2TRK IN rimane
attivo anche quando il tasto STAND-BY
è premuto, potete utilizzarlo per inviare
musica all'impianto principale durante
l'attesa. Quando è il momento di iniziare lo
spettacolo, rilasciate il tasto e tutti i musicisti
saranno subito pronti a cominciare.
85. MAIN MIX L & R (jack di uscita
bilanciati)
Questi connettori JACK (+4 dB) forniscono
un segnale bilanciato a livello linea del bus
stereo MAIN MIX. Si possono connettere a
queste uscite gli ingressi di amplificatori
di potenza, altoparlanti amplificati o
registratori audio.
