To manage links and elements in the Flowchart
You can manage links and update assets in the Flowchart as follows:
To manage links in the Flowchart, select the element whose link you want to modify. In the Properties panel, drag
the pick whip for the link to the element representing the new link destination. Adobe Encore DVD updates the
link and refreshes the Flowchart panel appropriately. You can also manage links via drag-and-drop. (See "To set
navigation in the Flowchart" on page 182.)
To move elements in the Flowchart, select an object using the Move tool
cannot change the position of an alias. When you move an element manually, any auto-placed elements attached
to it move along with it.
If you inadvertently move an element in the Flowchart, you can restore the object's original position by right-clicking
the element and choosing Auto-Layout from the context menu.
To modify an element in the Flowchart, select an item and modify its settings in the Properties panel. When you
change an object's properties, all aliases of that object in the Flowchart change.

User operations

About user operations
User operations are the interactions a user has with a DVD using the remote control. You can disable user operations
to prevent the viewer from making an inappropriate choice. For example, you can disable user operations to prevent
the viewer from fast forwarding through the FBI warning.
You can disable user operations for a disc, its timelines, and its menus. The operations you can disable vary,
depending on the asset. For example, you can disable the previous or next chapter buttons for a timeline, but not for
a menu since that operation only applies to timelines. You disable user operations using the Operations dialog box
in the Properties panel.
To disable or edit user operations
Select a timeline or menu, or click the Disc tab.
1
Note: Disabling user operations at the Disc level disables that operation in DVD elements too. You can, however, enable
a function at the disc level and then turn it off for specific menus, timelines. and other elements.
