Interface
You can scan from any TWAIN scanning application instead of scanning
from One Touch.
A Note About Your Scanner and the TWAIN standard: TWAIN is a
widely recognized standard that software applications use to receive
images from scanners, digital cameras, and other digital devices. The
PaperPort and OmniPage applications that you received with your
scanner use the TWAIN standard. You can open the same TWAIN
interface from many other graphics and imaging applications. Because
the TWAIN interface is the same in most software applications, you use
the instructions in this User's Guide for scanning with your Xerox
DocuMate 250 scanner. To access the TWAIN interface from other
software, please refer to their user's guides.
You can access the TWAIN interface when you're scanning
NOTE:
from the One Touch software. If the One Touch configuration you're
using is set to Configure Before Scan, and the selected option is
TWAIN, the TWAIN interface opens right away without opening
PaperPort or any other TWAIN-compliant software first. See the
section "Configure Before Scan" on page 46 for details.
Getting Help with the PaperPort Software
The PaperPort software includes a complete set of help topics that
answer questions about each feature of the software. To open the Help
Topics window, press the F1 key or choose PaperPort Help from the
Help menu.
You can also refer to the PaperPort Getting Started Guide and PaperPort
User's Guide on the CD.
