Chapter 3. Problem determination

Problems with the SurePOS 700 can be caused by software errors or hardware
failures. This chapter contains problem-analysis tables to help determine the cause
of a problem and how to solve it.
When you power on the SurePOS 700, the system runs a power on self test
(POST). A successful POST is indicated by:
v A single beep
v The power and UPS status indicators are both on and not blinking.
If the POST is unsuccessful, see "Problem isolation" on page 74.

Preliminary checklist

If you have a problem with the SurePOS 700, first use the following checklist:
1. Make sure that all I/O devices are connected correctly.
2. Make sure that AC power is connected.
