Action on malformed
mails
Administering F-Secure Anti-Virus for Internet Mail
Specify the action to take when a malformed
e-mail message (a message that has incorrect
format) arrives. Because of the malformed
structure, the product cannot reliably parse the
e-mail message and thus there is a risk that
malicious code will pass undetected.
Drop - The malformed message is moved to the
quarantine folder if Quarantine Problematic
Mails setting is enabled. For more information,
see "Quarantine", 151.
The administrator receives a security alert about
the stripped attachment.
Pass Through - The product does not scan
malformed content and lets the e-mail message
pass through unless malicious code is found in
the rest of the message.
