Administering F-Secure Anti-Virus for Internet Mail
Specify whether all e-mails should be
logged. Logged events include accepting
e-mail for delivery, scanning e-mail, and
sending e-mail to the mail server.
Specify the location of the logging directory
where all log files are placed.
WARNING: During the setup, access
rights are adjusted so that only the
operating system, the product itself and
the local administrator can access files in
the Logging Directory. If you make
changes to the Logging Directory
settings, make sure that the new Logging
Directory has the same rights.
Specify how F-Secure Anti-Virus for Internet
Mail creates log files. The Logging Type
setting also defines the file names of log
files.
One Logfile - Create one big log file where
all the information is written. The name of the
log file is mail.log. Note that the product
locks the log file and it cannot be modified
unless the product is stopped.
Daily Logfile - Create a new log file every
day. The names for daily log files are
generated as follows:
'mail.YYYYMMDD.log', where YYYY is the
current year, MM is the current month and
DD is the current day.
