Positioning Originals

The following sections explain how to position originals to the automatic
document feeder and on the document glass.
8.2.1 Loading originals into the automatic document feeder
The automatic document feeder enables you to load multiple originals for
continuous scanning, one page at a time. This saves you the inconvenience
of having to load documents page by page.
(1) Lift the document handler.

(2) Slide the originals all the way into the automatic document feeder,
with the copy side facing up. Insert until the automatic document feeder
light illuminates.
The automatic document feeder can hold a maximum of 30 pages of origi-
nals. Do not exceed this number when loading originals.
