Selecting a paper tray

Depending on the paper you want to copy to, you can select a different pa-
per tray. The following methods are available in selecting paper tray.
* Using the automatic paper selection function (This is the default method
when the machine is shipped at the factory.)
In this method, the machine detects the document size and finds an appro-
priate paper size from the zoom ratio, and then select a paper tray.
For detailed information on document sizes that the machine can automati-
cally detect, see the "8.1 About Originals" section.
* Selecting a paper tray for copying
In this method, you manually select a paper tray loaded with the desired
paper for the copy operation.
* Selecting the manual tray for copying
In this method, you manually load the desired paper into the manual tray for
the copy operation. Use this method when working with transparency sheet,

label, or thick paper (postcard).
