Important Safety Instructions
WHEN USING AN ELECTRICAL FURNISHING, BASIC PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE
FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS TABLE BASE.

DANGER:
To reduce the risk of electric shock: Always unplug this table from the electrical outlet
before cleaning, moving, or servicing the table
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:
1. Unplug from outlet before putting on or taking off parts.
2. This appliance can be operated by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
3. Use this furnishing only for its intended use as described in these instructions. Do not use attachments
not recommended by the manufacturer.
4. Keep other people or pets away from the table when raising or lowering the table.
5. Table frame and connecting wires should be checked regularly for wear or damage. Never operate this
table if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if
it has been dropped into water. If one of these events occur, please contact customer service.
6. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
7 . Never operate the table with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
9. For Indoor Use Only. Do not use outdoors.
10. Intended use is as a work and home office table. Not intented to be used as a raising surface. Do not
climb or stand on the table.
11. Maintain clearance around the table as well as above and below the worksurface in the range of travel. If
the floor is not level use the built in leveling feet.
12. Do not operate where aerosol or spray products are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.
13. The table is not complete until attached to a work surface. Only mount approved work surfaces in
accordance with instructions. If mounting a worksurface that did not come directly from Humanscale with
the table base, please note the following:
a. The table top must have a flame rating of 200 or less and smoke rating of 450 or less.
b. Worksurfaces must be rectangular and at least 0.75" (20mm) thick.
c. Worksurface must not extend beyond the table frame. Humanscale worksurfaces are available in
the following sizes: 1778mm x 737mm (29"x 70"), 1473mm x 737mm (29"x 58"), 1473mm x
584mm (23"x 58"), 1168mm 584mm (23"x 46").
d. Use included screws to attach the worksurface.
e. Do not exceed 220lbs (100kg) maximum load on the table base, including the weight of the
worksurface and anything on the worksurface.
Failure to follow instructions may cause instability, collapse, or failure of electrical components.
14. Never permit children under 8 years old to use this table without adult supervision.
Children shall not play with the furniture.
Keep children of less than 8 years away from the furniture unless they are constantly under surveillance.
15. Review the assembly instructions to confirm correct assembly and that the appropriate critical
components and accessories are being used with the furnishing.
