The OBU display shows the sum of tractor unit
axles + trailer axles.
Number of trailer axles must be updated if a
trailer is coupled or uncoupled to the tractor unit.

weight for the vehicle combination according to
the vehicle certificate is already stored in the
system during vehicle registration and is
automatically displayed on the OBU screen, e. g.
11.8t.

displayed (here: "3"), which may differ depending
on the attached trailer. Therefore the trailer axles
must be specified separately by the driver via the
OBU.
Trailer Weight: The current gross trailer weight
must be updated, when attaching a trailer to the
tractor unit. The current gross trailer weight (GTW)
is the maximum permissible weight of the
currently attached trailer. The start screen shows
the total weight.
