OTHER FUNCTIONS
Using the Scan function
You can search the talkgroup that others are talking on.
The scan function operation differs, depending on the Scan Pause Timer setting (p. 10).
L Confirm "Scan Start/Stop" is assigned to [P2] key on the Menu screen. (p. 10)
Step 1. Preparation
Select a Scan Pause timer option on the Menu screen before using the Scan function.
Step 2. Using the Scan function
When the Scan Pause Timer is set to "Hold" (Default):
1. Push [Scan] to start scanning.
• " " blinks and "SCANNING" is displayed while scanning.
L Push [Scan] again to stop scanning.
• When the transceiver starts receiving, " ", "LISTENING" and the talkgroup name is displayed
2. After "OPEN" is displayed, push [PTT] to join the talk.
L The transceiver automatically resumes scanning when the talk is finished.
3. Push [Ignore] to exit the talk and resume scanning.
4. Push [Scan] to stop scanning.
