  • Page 18 CONNECTION AND INSTALLATION D Installation for vehicle use For vehicle use, the optional AH-40 is recommended to reduce obstacles around the antenna. ANTENNA When you operate a transceiver in a vehicle, you can replace the antenna element with an AH-40, and mount it on the roof instead of the Antenna unit.

  • Page 22 CONNECTION AND INSTALLATION D Connecting the Antenna unit and the LAN cable • Connect the main unit and the supplied LAN cable (Length: approximately 20 m) as describe below. L The supplied LAN cable is a Shielded Ethernet Cable, so that use the supplied cable to connect the units. CAUTION: Be sure to ground the Antenna unit .
