Release the heatsink clamp from the socket tabs.

Release the processor by pulling the socket lever away from the socket and as far back as it can go without
forcing.
CAUTION: Before picking up the processor, reduce static discharge by touching the system's metal chassis.
Lift the processor out of the socket.
Processor Installation
Use the following steps to install an upgrade processor in the system.
Remove the processor currently in the system (see "Processor Removal").
