Connect the monitor power cable and the system unit power cable to a properly grounded power outlet.
Power on the monitor.
Power on the system unit.
Parallel Printer
NOTE: Before connecting a printer to the system, be sure the printer is set up correctly. Follow the setup
instructions that come with the printer.
Connect a parallel printer to the system as follows.
Turn off power to the system and printer.
Connect the printer cable to the printer port on the rear of the system unit.
Secure the cable with the screws provided.
Connect the other end to the printer.
Turn on the printer and the computer.

RS-232C Device Connection
NOTE: Before connecting a serial device to the system, be sure the serial device is set up correctly. Follow
the setup instructions that come with the option.
Turn off power to the system and to the serial device.
Connect one end of the serial cable to the COM1 port on the rear of the computer.
Secure the cable with the screws provided.
Connect the other end to the serial device.
