Error/Description
Server connection could
not be established.
When link with the server
cannot be established at
start of Sync session,
error displays and Sync
is canceled.
Invalid user name or
password.
Server has rejected the
user name and

progress screen is

Local Sync Resolution*
Check the USB cable is attached.
l
Check that the High Definition Mobile Sync icon is
l
displayed on Windows Taskbar and is not crossed out.
If USB cable is attached and a cross displays on XCPC
l
icon, restart XCPC software.
Detach and attach USB cable.
l
If all the above steps fail, restart PC and power the
l
phone Off and power it back On.
Check the password set in the XCPC security options
l
screen in the PC XCPC software. These entries should
match the wireless phone user id password.
Retry Sync a couple of times.
l
Reset XCPC logs and retry Sync.
l
Power the phone Off, back On, and try Sync again.
l
Check that the total phone entries have not reached full
l
limits. If full, then start deleting some entries.
Check that "Accept" or "Cancel" has been selected on
l
the XCPC Accept dialogue box.
Restart XCPC and initiate Sync again.
l
XCPC handles the error and "Device Full" message
l
does not appear on the phone.
Remote Sync Resolution*
Check that the wireless phone has service and the
l
service provider is displayed.
Check that the GPRS icon displays on the phone. If it
l
does not display, check with your service provider to
confirm you have GPRS service in your area and that it
is enabled.
Check the XCPC configuration. Make sure that the user
l
id and password are the same as assigned to you by the
Internet service provider. The user id and passwords are
case sensitive.
Retry Sync a couple of times.
l
If you are getting the cancellation immediately after
l
starting, power the phone Off and back On. The wireless
phone connectivity has to be reset.
The Sync process may take a long time due to poor data
l
rate, bad service, the number of entries, or the type of
Sync process. If taking a long time, cancel Sync and try
again. Just remember that the next synchronization will
be a full Sync process after a Sync process is
interrupted or canceled.
Cleanup old and unwanted entries in the remote server.
