this, press and hold COOLING/TURN OFF push button for more than 3 seconds. Repeat
if necessary. To resume operation, press START/PAUSE push button.
7. To stop operation for short time (without cooling down the machine) press
START/PAUSE push button, so to activate pause mode. Current batch is finished, and
START/PAUSE signal lamp is blinking. Sifter stops automatically in 3 minutes. To
resume production process, press START/PAUSE push button one more time.
8. To finish the operation, press COOLING/TURN OFF push button. Current batch will be
finished. START/PAUSE signal lamp is off. Sifter stops automatically in 3 minutes.
Heaters are turned off, but the turbine keeps operating. Once temperature drops low
enough, turbine stops automatically. And then, after 12 seconds the machine turns off
automatically.
4.2 Thermostat
Popping temperature is set on thermostat on control panel.
Thermostat is shown on Fig. 5. Upper line (1) reads current
temperature in the chamber (PV). Lower line (2) reads set
value of the temperature (SV). Keys (3) are intended to operate

During machine operation, temperature in the chamber is being
changed in wave-like manner, going down after new batch of
corn is pushed in the chamber, and then restoring up to the set value.
There is also a group of LED indicators (4). OUT represents heating elements operation. AL1
represents status of thermostat's alarm output, which is used by machine's algorithm.
In case if AL1 indicator turns off for more than 30 seconds while machine is in popping mode,
the machine switches to heating mode.
4.3 Popping temperature
• Imroperly chosen temperature set value might lead to chamber clogging.
It is necessary to do some trials to find optimal temperature for corn you use. Usually,
Butterfly popcorn requires temperature from 195 to 210 °C, Mushroom popcorn requires
from 205 to 220 °C.
Too high popping temperature causes less volume of popped popcorn. Too low temperature
leads to bad shape of popcorn.
Average volume of popped Butterfly is 30-40 liters, and Mushroom is 25-30 liters, per 1 kg of
raw corn.
