REMOVING THE FRONT FAIRING

Place the vehicle on the stand, see page
u
58 (PLACING THE VEHICLE ON THE
STAND).
Turn the ignition switch to position "".
u
Remove the rear-view mirrors, see page
u
82 (REMOVING THE FAIRING UPPER
FRONT COVERS).
Release the four plastic rivets (1) using a
u
flat-blade screwdriver.
Release and remove the screw (2) in the
u
centre.
CAUTION
Do not overtighten the screw (2) on
refitting, as it sits on plastic.

Release and remove the snap-on
fasteners (3) securing the front fairing to
the side fairings.
Disconnect the two connectors (4) on
either side of the front fairing.
Disconnect the connector (5) on either
side of the front fairing.
Detach the front fairing (6) complete with
u
headlight.
M a k e s u r e t o r e f i t t h e e l e c t r i c a l
connectors (4) and (5) to the matching
connectors on assembly.
Handle plastic and paint-finished parts
w i t h c a r e t o a v o i d s c r a t c h i n g o r
damage.

After refitting:
u Set the rear-view mirrors at the correct
angle.
