5 Mounting and connection
Magnetic field!
WARNING
● Ensure that there is at least 30 cm spacing from the product.
NOTICE
Applications of force!
● Do not hit or step on the product.
● Avoid hard knocks.
● Do not bend any connector contacts.
● Do not drop the product.
NOTICE Penetration of foreign bodies or liquids!
● Ensure that the connectors are protected against penetration of foreign
bodies or liquids!
● Do not use a pressure washer.
5.1 Preparations
Machine/System
 Shut down the machine/system and secure it against being restarted.
MiniCODER
 Do not remove the product from its original packaging until you are at the installa-
tion site.
 Make sure that the product all connection components are de-energized.
Target wheel
 Ensure that the target wheel is clean and the toothing is not damaged. Replace a
damaged target wheel.
Measuring system
 Ensure that the MiniCODER matches the module, the number of teeth, the refer-
ence mark and the width of the target wheel.
If no mobile service unit is available:
 Ensure that the factory settings of the MiniCODER match the application and the
target wheel.
