Primary/Secondary DNS Address:
D-Link Systems, Inc.
Home > WAN > Dynamic IP
Host Name:
Enter a host name. Most ISPs do not require this.
MAC Address:
Manually enter the MAC address of the computer that was last
connected directly to the Internet. Most cable ISPs will authenticate
by the MAC address of the device that is connected to the modem
(router or computer). Few ISPs require you to register the MAC
address with them. In most cases, turning off the power to the
modem for 3-5 minutes will allow you to use a new device to
connect.
Clone MAC Address:
If you are using the computer that was last connected directly to
the modem, click the Clone MAC Address button.
You may enter the DNS if supplied by your ISP. Leave blank if you
do not know or were supplied with DNS server IP addresses.
Apply:
Click Apply to save your settings. After the router reboots, you
may need to unplug the power to your modem for about 1 minute
and plug back in. Allow up to 3 minutes to connect to the Internet.
In most cases, you should be able to connect right away.
