MCLS2-CUSTOM 4-Channel Laser/SLD Source
For the first time installation, both components are checked and must be installed. The setup checks if another
version of the selected component was installed. If another version exists, the new installation cannot complete
until another version is removed.
The following files are installed in the following directories:
1. GUI application executable and dependencies (DLLs) are installed in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Thorlabs\TL_Devices\MCLS2
2. Thorlabs Device Plugin is stored in folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Thorlabs\TL_Devices\TL_Device_Plugins
3. Thorlabs Device SDK files are stored in folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Thorlabs\TL_Devices\TL_Device_SDK
Thorlabs Device Dynamic-Link Library (TLDeviceSDK.dll) and its dependency are required by the GUI application,
or any other applications developed with the Thorlabs Device SDK. To make it convenient to run the executables
without copying the DLLs, the full path to TLDeviceSDK.dll, C:\Program Files
(x86)\Thorlabs\TL_Devices\TL_DEVICE_SDK\Bin is added to the Windows PATH environment variable.
Chapter 4 Operation
Turning on the Source
•
Turn the POWER key switch clockwise. The LCD display will show "Thorlabs" across the screen.
•
Make sure the Interlock Input is short-circuited; see section 4.10 for detailed instructions.
•
Ensure the connector and fiber patch cable being used is clean and free from damage; see section 5.2 for
more information.
•
Press and release the ENABLE ALL or the enable buttons for each light source to be activated. There will
be an approximately 5 second delay before the lasers and SLDs power up. During this time the selected
channel LASER ON indicator lights will blink.
