B) THERMAL PROBE OPTION

FUNCTIONS

The following devices, namely the "battery" thermal probe, the "battery and UPS
modules" thermal probe as well as the thermal probe for external battery cabinet allow
to carry out a thermal compensation by measuring the temperature of the battery
compartment / cabinet.
The UPS is able to recognize the presence of the temperature probe/s automatically,
to carry out the measurement/s and to perform a thermal compensation of the battery.
The compensation of the battery charging voltage is carried out according to the
graph shown in Figure 1, where the compensation voltage is subtracted from the
floating voltage at a temperature of 20°C.

Once the device has been properly installed, the temperature measurement/s can be
read on the UPS front panel. In fact, a new surfing menu "Temperatures" where the
information will be displayed, will be shown in the measurements section.
