Setting the Remote Code Maia
The remote code prevents unauthorized persons from accessing your unit
and listening to your messages in common memory. Choose any 2-digit
number (00-99).

Make sure the TALK indicator
light is off, then press
PROGRAM/2WAY REC).
o The BATT LOW/PROG
indicator lights.
Press
[SCREEN/PLAYBACK).
e The indicator lights.
o "P" is displayed on the base
unit to show the unit is in
programming mode.
Press (1).
e The current remote code
number is displayed.
Enter a remote code number by
using a 2-digit number.
e The entered number is
displayed.
When finished,
press (PROGRAM/2WAY REC).
e The indicator lights go out.

Restart from step 1 to set a 2-digit number.
To check the remote code number
Press (PROGRAM/2WAY REC)

(SCREEN/PLAYBACK]
=> (1).
The current remote code number is displayed.
When finished, press (PROGRAM/2WAY REC].

o if 6 beeps sound on step 5, it means your entered number is only one digit.
