CHAPTER 8: Maintenance Schedule

Cleaning the Condensate Drain Line

In order to inspect and clean the condensate drain, do the following:
1. Refer to Figure 8-1, disconnect the pipe at location (A).
2. Check that no deposits have accumulated inside the drain. If there are any deposits,
flush them out with clean water.
3. Reassemble the drain pipe in reverse order.
WARNING!
Before operating the boiler, it is absolutely necessary to verify that the condensate P-trap is
filled with water. If the boiler is operated without the P-trap being properly filled, there is a
danger of toxic combustion gases escaping from the unfilled condensate drain opening.

8.4 CHECKING CSD-1 MANIFOLD FLOW SWITCH

Check the function of the flow switch in the CSD-1 manifoild at the boiler hot water outlet. If it is
not functioning, check the wiring to the terminal of the BMM module labeled "FL" or replace with
a new flow switch.
