This circuit controls rotation/stop and the rotating direction of each motor, and is composed of G/A (IC 13) and the exclusive-use hybrid IC (IC6,
IC7). The circuit composition is the same in the paper feed motor drive circuit and the transport motor drive circuit. The descriptions are made for the
transport motor drive circuit.
The motor rotation, stop, rotating direction are controlled by combination of binary logic inputted to G/A through the data path from the CPU. By this,
the control signal is inputted to the G/A 25-28 pins. The G/A 25 pin and 26 pin are the PWM output for speed control. (Normal rotation, 26 pin;
reverse rotation, 25 pin)
These signals are inputted to the IC6. The IC6 is the hybrid IC including four power MOSFETs, and takes the G/A output 25 pin ∼ 28 pin, and drives
the motor.
The motor operates according to the combination of 25 pin ∼ 28 pin as shown in the table below:

The paper feed motor operates as follows:

In the brake mode, the both terminals of the motor are shorted, generating a strong brake torque to stop the motor.
