8. Installation of inverting section, feed
section clock pulleys
After securing the transfer motor on the motor bracket, set the clock
pulley on the motor shaft. Clamp the clock pulley with two hex. socket
head screws while securing a space of 0.5±0.2mm between the end
faces of the pulley and the motor. The transfer motor shaft has two
flat surfaces which are cut on the circumference at 90° space. Tighten
the hex. socket head screws to rest on these flat surfaces.

9. Replacement of the document feed belt
a. Remove the original loading table and the original feed cover.
b. Set the ADF in the following way.
NOTE: You must note the following points when the original feed
belt is to be replaced with the ADF installed to the copier.
•
Do not harm the glass surface of the original table.
•
Unplug the power supply cable from the wall outlet.

c. Remove two screws and remove the two tension roller assys.
d. Remove the original holding roller (F) from the roller holder.
e. Remove the screw and remove the original belt driving roller and
the bushing.

f. Remove the two original belt counter roller assys, and the original
feed belt.

Tips when re-assembling
•
Do the reverse sequence of disassembly to re-assemble it.
•
Refer to the above figure to install four bushings on the roller.
•
After the original feed belt has been installed, make sure that the
belt guide resides in the original feed belt.
10. Original lead edge position adjustment.
•
The original lead edge position for RADF can be determined using
the test command 53.
•
For it had been factory set that the lead edge should stop on the
location 8, but it may be needed to make adjustment. It can be
adjusted within a range of 8mm (8 steps) at the stopper side and
7mm (7 steps) at the glass side. Adjustment can be done for each
mode of single sided, double sided, and light weight paper.
