About the Hotwire POTS Splitter
5020-A2-GN10-60
The Hotwire system enables simultaneous high-speed digital data access and
analog voice service over the same twisted-pair telephone line. Simultaneous
access to RADSL (Rate Adaptive Digital Subscriber Line), M/SDSL (Multirate
Symmetric DSL), or MVL
Telephone Service) requires the installation of a POTS splitter at the central
office (CO). The CO POTS splitter separates the DSL and POTS frequencies.
Four CO POTS splitter models are available:
5020 RADSL 12-port Card
6020 MVL 12-port Card
6024 MVL 24-port Card
7020 M/SDSL 12-port Card
CO POTS
Splitter Card
DSL Interface
Loop Interface
PSTN Interface
The POTS splitter card is mounted in a POTS splitter chassis. Two chassis are
available:
Model 5011 – 1-slot card chassis which can be placed on a tabletop or
installed in a rack.
Model 5016 – 6-slot chassis which must be installed in a commercial
EIA-standard 19 or 23 rack or cabinet.
