These multiplexers include the following types: DATAPHONE DATAPHONE II 724/735 Multiplexers 731/740/741/742 ACCULINK 745 ACCULINK Multiplexer 764 ACCULINK Multiplexer In this document the 764 multiplexer is referred to as a 74x-56K multiplexer.

If two local 74x/74x-56K multiplexers are used, all three 6800 Series NMS multiplexer ports can connect to any three of the four available NAPs.
