Channel Group Diagnostics

Channel Group diagnostics consists of tests and status reports for channel groups. Table 1-15 lists
the commands available for these tests. The table contains the command abbreviation, a brief
description of what the command does, what results are displayed, and whether the executed
command will disrupt NMS operation.

Description
Places a specified channel
group into a loopback state
at a specified 745's TSI
module. The channel
group can be looped back
to one endpoint at a time.
Also releases a channel
group from such a state.
Displays the current route
of a connected channel
group. An indication of
whether the route is an
optimal route, the links and
time slots that carry the
channel group, and the
available bandwidth per
hop are provided. An
optimal route is one with
the least possible number
of hops.
Results
Displays loopback state
(start or stop) and
indicates if command was
successful or not.
For each Series 700 node,
lists the path of the
channel group, the node
name, node number/link
number, logical link
number, and logical link
name, along with the
representation of the 24
time slots on the physical
link. For a non-Series 700
node, displays Entry to
Foreign Network without
a time slot summary, along
with the network ID, and, if
applicable, the next Series
700 node in the path
follows.
