One local 724/735 multiplexer and one 719 NETWORKER (Figure 2-5). A 719
NETWORKER must be used with a 724/735 multiplexer to multiplex the event and external
systems access over a single control (supervisory) port and then transmit that information to
the NMS host computer. The event and external systems connections from the NMS enter
the 719 NETWORKER via two channel ports. Another channel port exits the 719
NETWORKER and connects to the 724/735 control port. Each colocated 724/735 connects
to an individual channel port on the 719 NETWORKER. You must verify the 724/735
control port's configuration as a supervisory port via the multiplexer's internal software
menus. Neither the 719 NETWORKER nor the 724/735 multiplexers support a command
language interface, so the command port connection is not needed.
