Event Datagram NAP

To support event/alarm transfer over the NMS multiplexer event port or to support the NMS
command language over the command port, a NAP must be configured as an event datagram port.
The event port is a one-way communication link that allows event information to be sent to the
NMS host computer from the nodes. This port links the NMS host computer to a 74x multiplexer.
The command port links a multiplexer to the NMS host computer for sending NMS multiplexer
commands and for receiving responses from the nodes. If you want to configure the first NAP to
connect to the NMS multiplexer event port and the second NAP to connect to the NMS multiplexer
command port, define both NAPs as event datagram ports.
