Description
Activity as a result of an Alarm.
The Alarm profile table allows
management of alarm profiles.
An entry in the alarm profile table.
Entries are indexed by recipient NMS
manager's IP Address.
This object is the IP address of a
NMS manager configured to receive
traps from the proxy agent.
The name of the alarm profile that is
to be automatically loaded when the
6700 NMS is initialized. The file must
exist in the SNMP\CONFIG
subdirectory of the 6700 install
directory.
The name of the alarm profile that is
to be loaded. Writing to this object
starts the profile load operation. The
file name must be legal for the
operating system hosting the 6700
NMS.
This is the name for the alarm profile
to be written. Writing to this object
starts the profile save operation. The
file name must be appropriate for the
operating system hosting the 6700
NMS.
The Error table lists the ten most
recent SNMP errors for each NMS
manager's IP address.

send(1) – Alarm is exported as an
Enterprise trap.
log(2) – Alarm is logged in the
alarm history log.
sendAndLog(3) – Alarm is both
exported as a trap and logged in
the alarm history log.
ignore(4) – Alarm event is ignored.

The installation default is
C:\PCNMS\SNMP\CONFIG. There is
a default alarm profile provided with
the 6700 NMS named default.afp.
This file name can be changed using
PCNMS.INI file.

C:\PCNMS\SNMP\CONFIG. The file
must exist in the SNMP\CONFIG
subdirectory of the 6700 install
directory. This file name can be
changed using PCNMS.INI file.

name may not contain path
information; all profiles are written to
the SNMP\CONFIG subdirectory of
the 6700 install directory. This file
