• It is not recommended to install antennas near or between racks containing communication devices or computers.
Instead, use an extension cable and place the device outside of the rack.
The following recommendations apply to all wireless devices:
• Avoid touching or moving the antenna while the device is transmitting or receiving.
• Refrain from touching any equipment that contains radiation-emitting devices with antennas that are very close to
or in contact with any exposed part of the body, especially the face and eyes, when it is transmitting.
• Do not install the device in potentially explosive areas.
• Be aware that wireless devices may cause interference with other devices. Avoid using the device in areas where
medical equipment is installed.
• To ensure compliance with the 2014/53/EU RED directive, ensure that the device is operated at least 20 cm away
from the body.

4.2.5 Serial port connections

The Regesta Smart PLC is equipped with three RJ45 connectors to provide serial ports. However, depending on the
model, the two RJ45 connectors labeled "Serial" may not be functional.
4.2.5.1 Console connector as serial port (CONF connector)
The console port can be converted into an RS-232 asynchronous DCE serial port. This particular port has the follow-
ing characteristics:

(1) DCE port.
(2) RS-232 norm.
(3) A maximum speed of 115200 bps.
(4) Only the RxD, TxD and GND signals are available. For details regarding pin
assignment, please refer
