1. Notes for operation

1.1 Notes for the operator of this machine
WARNING
・Do not operate this machine without fully understanding this manual.
・Do not operate if fatigued or if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
・Individuals who are pregnant, too young to understand instructions , or untrained, should never
operate this machine.
・Always wear appropriate clothing; no loose or hanging clothes . Non-slip boots and protective
gear are always recommended to prevent injury from rotating parts.
・Use proper protection gear such as non-slip shoes, helmet or winter hat, shin guards, safety
glasses, gloves and safety jacket depending on the product.
・Do not use this machine on roofing or any unstable places. There is risk of fall or roll over
which will result in injury to the operator and/or to other people and property.

Before operation

DANGER
・Do not run the engine in a place that is poorly ventilated. Engine exhaust gas is odorless but
contains carbon monoxide which can cause death or serious illness.
・Absolutely do not handle gasoline in the presence of open flame. Be careful not to spill fuel. If
you spill fuel, please clean it up in accordance with local laws and regulations. There is risk of
fire and explosion.
・When refueling, always stop the engine and allow it to cool down. There is risk of fire and burns
when refueling a hot engine.
・Ground static electricity before refueling. The static spark can ignite gasoline vapors, causing a
flash fire.
WARNING
・Do not modify the machine as this can cause accidents or explosions. Altering this machine in
any way will void the warranty.
Orec America Inc. will bear no responsibilities for accidents or problems caused by
alterations or modification.
・There may be people, animals, cars etc. in your work location. Make sure to locate these
obstacles and remove them or mark them before working.
・Always work in good visibility. Accidents are more likely when you can't see clearly around you.
・Please refuel in a place that is well ventilated.
・Remove any clogging on engine and the machine ; especially, around air cooling inlets, cylinder,
and muffler, to prevent engine seizes and fire. Also clean the air filter and the HST fan cover.
・When you noticed the machine needs to be serviced, do not opera te until service has been
performed.
・Do not remove any parts from this machine that have been fitted as standard. To prevent
accidents, be sure to use all covers and parts in the same state as they have been fitted.
・Make sure the machine is not moving when parking brake is applied. Adjust cables and belt
holder when necessary.
・Use extreme caution around bodies of water such as lakes or rivers. Do not work on steep
slopes. Please operate this machine on a flat and safe surface.
・Do not release driving clutch lever on a slope. This may cause loss of control.
CAUTION
・Do not operate the machine in a situation in which the machine may get very wet.
・Always work with appropriate safety gear and clothing for the weather.
