4.3 Tips
WARNING
・ Do not remove any covers and flappers when operating the machine for your safety.
・ Clearly mark objects, ditches, loose ground and slopes over 10 degrees and avoid them for your
safety. You may not be able to see when snow cover ed or in dark conditions.
・ Do not drive over steps but use ramps. When drive up carb (up to 4 inches) always walk behind
and drive slowly. The machine may lose balance and lose control.
CAUTION
・ Always wear safe winter gear such as safety shoes, safety glasses, warm gloves and winter hat.
Cold protection and safe operation are important.
・ Operate the machine only in the operator's zone (rear of the machine).
・ Do not stand on or near tracks and plow blade to avoid involvement.
・ Do not touch the muffler until it's cool ed down. It may still be hot even 10 min. after shutting off the
engine. Do not cover the machine while the muffler is hot.
・ Stop the machine immediately when obstacles are involved with any part of the machine.
・ If you hit something, always stop the machine immediately then shut off the engine and check for damages.
Some unrepaired damages can cause injuries.
・ Clean the machine after operation, to have it safe and ready for the next snow clearing project .
・ Always start at the lowest speed, and increase once you know the area you are clearing is safe.
4.3.1 Snow Clearing (straight)
No traction
・ Place the plow blade to the ground and operate in forward.
The plow blade has some play, and it moves along with the
ground surface. If the blade edge is caught too often, raise
the blade height as needed.
・ If you experience difficulty pushing snow due to the amount
or weight of the snow, clear the snow using half width of the
blade or raise the blade height as needed
.
・ When the plow blade presses down on the ground with too
much pressure, it causes the front of the tracks to lift and
lose traction. Adjust the blade height accordingly.
・ Optional urethane scraper kit available (sold separately).
