Control Signal Selector
Type
5686 will select the
highest,
lowest
or
mean vibration
level
from 6 input
channels for
use as
the compressor
control
signal. The
sampling time
is
equal to the time
period
of the vibra-
tion
frequency.
The
instrument is
shown

Fig.
17.
A
set-up
for
multi-point
testing is
shown
in Fig. 18.
Four
accelerometers
measure
t
he vibration
in the
structure
at four points
of interest.

tioning

are input to

the
selected
signal
to the 1050 compressor
