Servicing the Fuel Filter (continued)
2. Clean the area around the fuel-filter head
3. Remove the filter
4. Clean the filter-head mounting surface with a
clean cloth
5. Lubricate the filter gasket with clean lubricating
engine oil
Manual for additional information.
6. Install the dry filter canister by hand until the
gasket contacts the filter head, then rotate it an
additional 1/2 turn
7. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks
around the filter and filter head.
Note:
8. Shut off the engine and remove the key.
9. Close and latch the hood.

Draining the Fuel Tank

1. In addition to the listed service interval, drain and clean the tank if the fuel system
becomes contaminated or if you are storing the machine for an extended period. Use
clean fuel to flush out the tank.
2. Prime the filter and the lines to the high pressure pump.

Inspecting the Fuel Lines and Connections

1. Inspect the fuel lines for deterioration, damage, or loose connections.
2. Replace any deteriorated clamps or hoses.
Note:
Servicing the Diesel-Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and the
Soot Filter
1. Refer to the Engine section in the Service Manual for information on disassembling and
assembling the diesel-oxidation catalyst and the soot filter of the DPF.
2. Contact to your authorized Toro distributor for diesel-oxidation catalyst and the soot filter
replacement parts or service.
3. Contact your authorized Toro distributor to reset the engine ECU after installing a clean
DPF.
