Seat - BMW S 1000 XR 2023 Rider's Manual

The handlebar grips can be
heated at three different lev-
els.
Low heater output
Medium heater output
High heater output
The 3rd heating level is used
for fast heating of the grips;
the switch should then be
switched back to one of the
lower levels.
If no further changes are
made, the selected heating
level is set.
To turn off the heated grips,
press the button 1 repeatedly
until the heated grip icon 3
disappears.

SEAT

Removing the seat
While pushing down on the
rear part of the seat 2 to re-
lieve the strain on the lock,
unlock the seat lock by turn-
ing the ignition key 1 counter-
clockwise.
Lift seat at rear and remove.
Lay the seat on a clean sur-
face.
Installing the seat
Insert the seat with mounts 1
into the pads 2 on the left
and right.
Lower the rear of the seat
and engage the seat in the
lock.
