The camshaft sprocket
and the spacer bushings
on the left and right are loosely
inserted in the wheel. During
removal, make sure that the
parts are not damaged or lost.
Installing the rear wheel
ATTENTION
Changing the tire size
Influencing the control sys-
tems
Have the new parameters
encoded by a repair shop,
preferably by an authorized
BMW Motorrad dealer.
ATTENTION
Tightening screw connec-
tions with incorrect tighten-
ing torque
Damage to or loosening of
screw connections
Have the tightening torques
checked by a repair shop,
preferably by an authorized
BMW Motorrad dealer.
Clean dirt and old lubricant
off the spacer bushing 1 and
radial shaft seal 2 on the
chain sprocket carrier 3.
Lubricate the spacer bush-
ing 1 and radial shaft seal 2
on the surfaces marked
with arrows.
Lubricant
Unirex N3
Check judder damper ele-
ments 2 for damage, defor-
mation and wear, replace as
appropriate.
